#PitchWars 2017 Day 26: What was the last book you loved and why?

“See You in the Cosmos” by Jack Cheng is brilliant. It uses the concept of an 11-year old boy making audio recordings on his “golden iPod” which he wants to send into space, a la the “golden record” sent on Voyager. It’s very effective once you get into it and very well done.

#PitchWars 2017 Day 24: Which authors do you admire and why?

There are too many good authors out there to list. Many of them have their own strengths and unique voices to pick just one. But perhaps one of the more unique that I’ve read lately is N.K. Jemisin. One of the few times I’ve read a 2nd person novel and thought it worked, which is quite an achievement.
